Beverley Borchert Obituary

                Beverley Ann (Hill) Borchert, age 85, of Oil City, passed away early on Monday, April 8, 2024 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. 

                She was born in Oil City on July 22, 1938, the daughter of the late Irwin and Romaine Hill. 

                Beverley graduated from Oil City High School in 1957.  She married James E. Borchert in April of 1961, and he survives. 

                Beverley was a Mother and a homemaker, raising two daughters and one son.  She was a devoted member of the Hasson Heights United Presbyterian Church while raising her family, and later became a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, and most recently joined Seneca Son Rise Church. 

                She enjoyed old black and white movies, cross-stitching, playing cards, serving as a Church Deacon, and cooking.  She enjoyed a close friendship with the members of her 500 Club, which stayed together for over fifty years. 

                She is survived by her husband, James E. Borchert; her daughters, Melody (Tom) Foster and Michelle (Greg) Etzel; and seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her sisters, Shirley Baughman and Joyce Hodge. 

                She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Irwin Hill, Jr.; and her son, Kevin T. Borchert. 

                Visitation for friends and family will be held Friday (April 12) from noon - 1:30 p.m. at Seneca Son Rise Church, 196 East State Road in Seneca, followed by a funeral service in the sanctuary at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. John Miller, officiating.  At the conclusion of the service, a meal will be provided in the fellowship hall at the church, and all are welcome to join the family and share their memories of Beverley.
