Elizabeth "Betty" McGinnis

  Elizabeth "Betty" McGinnis, 92, formerly of Oil City, passed away March 20, 2024 at Manchester Commons in Erie, PA.

  She was born on July 17, 1931 in Oil City, a daughter of the late James H. and Effie M. Thompson.

  Betty was primarily a homemaker but had worked as an associate at Oil City's JC Penney for a number of years.

  Betty is survived by four of her children, Marty Fiedler of Palm Coast Florida, Barbara Mozdy of Erie, Suzi Davis of Franklin and John McGinnis and wife Ali of Titusville; seven grandchildren, Tina, Sean, Kelly, Sara, Sommer, James and Mary.  She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.  

  Betty was preceded in death by her son Rich McGinnis Jr., her parents, and her seven siblings.

  A private funeral service will be held on March 22, 2024 at the Rockland Cemetery.
