Richard "Dick" Pascorell Obituary

        Richard E. "Dick" Pascorell, 69 of Cranberry, passed away March 18, 2024 after a period of declining health.

            He was born May 3, 1954 in Oil City to the late Vincent P. and Marcella J. (Clinger) Pascorell.

        Dick was of the Protestant faith.

        He married the former Lucretia “Jean” Ruth on April 3, 2004 at Fertigs United Methodist Church.

        Dick worked many years on the drilling rigs including his time working for R.N. Carbaugh & Sons Drilling Repair

        He retired from SFPC due to declining health

        Dick spent most of his life enjoying his favorite past time of Dirt Track Racing.

        In his younger years he was on the track himself in his Blue and White “87” stock car with his last win coming at Thunder Mountain in 2006.

        Dick made many lifelong friendships through his racing connections, including Casey Bradybaugh, Punk , Joe Stajnrajh, Bob & Brian Tarr,  Kenny Lancaster, and many others.

        Dick also spent a lot of time camping with his wife Jean and their neighbors Ron and Karan Young, both on the lease and on Tionesta Lake.

        He leaves behind his fur babies; Jasper, Kikey, and Kitty

        He is survived by his daughters: Charity Pascorell-Phillips (Karl) of Coal Hill, Kimberly Armagost, and Sharon Pascorell; his grandchildren, Krys Markley, Kya Pascorell, Courtney Blair, Dakota Woolcock, Sabian Pascorell, Madalin Hanlon, Malarie, Tanner, Kailey and Brooklyn Phillips.

        He is also survived by his bonus sons, Michael Alex of Seneca and Shawn Dinger of Oil City, and bonus grandchildren Ryder and Emma Alex and Haley.

        He is also survived by his mother in law Dorothy Whitehill; and four brothers in law: Tom, Mike, Rodney and Tony.

        He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and many cousins.

        In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Vincent J., David A, and James R. "Jim" Pascorell; and his sister, Daisy R. “Becky” McVay. 

        Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday (March 22) from 3:30 - 8 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca.  Additional visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday (March 23) from 10-11 a.m., where a funeral service will follow Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor David McVay, Dick's great nephew, officiating.  Interment will follow in Perry Cemetery near Fertigs

        In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seneca Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 272, Seneca, PA  16346.
